Singapore 05/04/2016 - Japan’s Mitsui Kinzoku, also known as Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co, plans to produce more zinc and lead in the first half of its fiscal year 2016, according to its production plan released late last week.

The company expects zinc production at 117,700 tonnes in April-September this year, up 12.6 percent from output of 104,500 tonnes in the same period last year.

Its zinc production in October 2015-March 2016 is expected at 105,600 tonnes.

For lead, it plans to produce 33,400 tonnes in the first half of the current fiscal year, up five percent from 31,800 tonnes in April-September 2015.

Mitsui Kinzoku expects to have produced 31,700 tonnes of lead in October 2015-March 2016.
