Singapore 23/05/2016 - China’s exports of aluminium fabricated products fell six percent year-on-year to and was unchanged month-on-month at 360,000 tonnes in April, according to final trade data published by the country’s General Administration of Customs on Saturday.
The latest figure took year-to-April exports to 1.31 million tonnes, down ten percent from the same period last year.
The country’s exports of unwrought aluminium and aluminium alloy slipped 19.8 percent year-on-year to 43,796 tonnes in April, taking year-to-date exports to 176,120 tonnes. This is down 11.4 percent from January-April last year.
Meanwhile China’s alumina imports tumbled 67.5 percent year-on-year to 100,000 tonnes in April. Imports increased 7.5 percent year-on-year to 1.34 million tonnes in January-April this year.
Chinese aluminium scrap imports dipped 21.9 percent year-on-year to 150,000 tonnes in April, taking January-April imports to 540,000 tonnes. This was down 18.4 percent year-on-year.
