Winter Park, Florida 01/07/2016 - All of the Pacorini Metals warehouses listed with the London Metal Exchange have changed their named to reflect the company's new Access World branding, the exchange said in a notice to members.
Pacorini Metals (Asia) Pte Ltd, a listed warehouse company with listed facilities in Busan, Gwangyang, Incheon, Johor, Port Klang, Singapore and Kaohsiung, has changed its name to Access World Logistics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.
Pacorini Metals USA LLC, which has facilities in Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Mobile, New Orleans and Owensboro, has changed its name to Access World (USA) LLC.
Pacorini Metals Vlissingen BV, which has sheds in listed facilities in Vlissingen, Rotterdam and Antwerp, has changed its name to Access World Vlissingen BV.
Pacorini Metals Italia Srl, which has warehouses in Genoa, Leghorn, Trieste and Dubai, has changed its name to Access World (Italy) S.r.l.
Pacorini Metals Iberica SAU, which has facilities in Barcelona and Bilbao, has changed its name to Access World (Spain) S.A.U.
Pacorini Metals AG has changed it name to Access World to reflect its expansion beyond metals. The company also provides logistics services and warehousing for a growing range of products including soft commodities, lumber, paper and pulp, project cargo, ferroalloys and concentrates.
As well, the decision to change name might also stem from a desire not to be cause confusion with the similarly named Pacorini Global Services (PGS).
PGS, founded in 1933 in Trieste by the Pacorini family, was mainly involved in coffee. In September 2010, it sold the metals part of the business to Glencore International - this branch became Pacorini Metals AG.
It changed its name from Pacorini Group in early 2015 and is currently listed on the London Metal Exchange (LME) but its main business is non-LME warehousing and logistics.
