London 12/07/2016 - The waiting time for aluminium delivered out of LME-registered warehouses dropped in June, according to the exchange's latest queue report.

The queue for aluminium at Access World in Vlissingen decreased to 315 calendar days (220 working days) or 10.5 months as of June 30 from 336 calendar days (233 working days) a month previously, it said.

Cancelled aluminium warrants there stood at 1,018,750 tonnes while on-warrant availability was 1,369,100 tonnes, according to LME data on June 30.

Other LME-registered locations had no queue as of June 30, according to the report.

The LME has introduced tough reforms aimed at shortening queues over the past three years, targeting warehouse companies with delivery times exceeding 50 calendar days. Rules such as linked load-in/load-out rates and queue-based rent capping (QBRC) are now in force.

Access World, previously known as Pacorini Metals AG, changed its name from July 1 this year as the warehouse company expands beyond metals into other areas, it said.

The company also provides logistics services and warehousing for a growing range of products including soft commodities, lumber, paper and pulp, project cargo, ferroalloys and concentrates.
