London 26/08/2016 - Deliverable copper stocks at warehouses in the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) system fell 6,816 tonnes to 165,803 tonnes as of August 26, according to data from the exchange.

This week, Zhongchu Wusong in Shanghai saw the largest stock movement among SHFE's approved warehouses - 3,028 tonnes left its sheds.

Meanwhile, on the LME, copper stocks continue to increase in Asian warehouses. In today's warehouse data, LME copper inventories rose 7,700 tonnes to 271,575 tonnes.

SHFE zinc stocks fell 3,565 tonnes to 190,579 tonnes, making this the fifth straight week of decline.

For aluminium, SHFE stocks fell 7,685 tonnes to 103,072 tonnes, a second week of decline.

Domestic aluminium inventories are expected to grow, particularly in the fourth quarter of this year, due to production restarts and new capacity commissioning.

In the other metals, lead stocks fell 1,237 tonnes to 42,154 tonnes. Nickel inventories climbed 2,514 tonnes to 112,085 tonnes while tin stocks fell 363 tonnes to 2,011 tonnes.
