London 03/10/2016 - Mitsui Kinzoku, Japan's largest zinc producer, expects to boost zinc output by 6.7 percent in the second half of 2016, it said on Monday.
During the six month period, it expects to produce 112,700 tonnes of the metal, up from 105,600 tonnes in the same period of 2015.
The increase reflects higher production at Hachinohe Smelting and the suspension of production of distilled zinc at the Harima Refinery.
Mitsui also expects second-half lead output to rise 0.9 percent to 32,000 tonnes, Gold to 4.7 tonnes from 4.1 tonnes and silver to 107,000 tonnes, up 28 percent.
