London 11/08/2015 - Physical copper and aluminium trader Vadim Linchevsky, who left Gerald Metals in April, has joined Gunvor, FastMarkets has learned.

Vadim had been a non-ferrous metal trader at Gerald in Morges, Switzerland, since March 2011, having previously worked at Gerald in Connecticut for nearly three years as an assistant trader.

The Gunvor group, created in 2000, is one of the world’s largest independent commodities trading houses by turnover. It has in the past three years diversified away from oil trading into other assets suchs as base metals, iron ore and coal, and also expanded geographically.

The group now has five trading offices in Geneva, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai and Nassau in The Bahamas.
